A one of a kind hand embroidered and inked giclee print on Hahnemuhle Cotton Rag 308 gsm.

This archival quality print has been hand embellished by the original artist. Katy has embroidered tiny cotton knots into the fields of the landscape in tones to complement the original watercolour used. She added ink highlights by hand to create bold lines. 

A3 piece framed in a black box frame measuring approximately 40 x 50cm. 

About the artwork: 

"Five Arches (The Stories it Would Tell 2)"

A mix of imagination and observation inspired this piece which reflects upon memories of the Five Arches Bridge stretching across the River Cray. The carp, kingfisher and swan merge with the landscape creating a stylised representation of childhood memories spanning generations of local families.

“Five Arches” is the second in the series of “The Stories it Would Tell” , in which Katy imagines the stories our landscape could tell if it were given a voice and we slowed down to stop and listen.
