About the Artist

Katy is a Sussex based artist and illustrator, inspired by the relationship between nature and humanity.

Often inspired by her local Sussex landscape, flora and fauna, each piece is created with a story or character in mind. She loves to see how the narrative or character develops through each brushstroke. Katy's Photo Booth and Passport Photos collections have quickly become her most loved work, encouraging us to view nature through a light-hearted lens.

Katy creates her playful interpretations of our wild world using watercolour, ink and gouache on paper or acrylic on wood.

Her archival prints and mounts are created in a local studio. She works closely with the professional photographer and printer, to enable you to take home an authentic, high quality, reproduction of her work.

Katy is currently creating more work in "The Stories it Would Tell Series", particularly inspired by the South Downs. There is a certain magic to be found amongst the natural and man-made environment of her locality. A wonderful mix of folklore, ancient geology, big skies, sweeping waves and the rolling downs. This creates an inspiring backdrop from which to conjure up the people and the tales which move from her imagination onto the paper.

You can keep up-to-date with Katy's work and events by signing up to her newsletter.

You can find Katy's prints in Petworth Pop Up, West Sussex and Ma Maison, Uckfield, East Sussex.

Her prints and cards are now available as wholesale. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss stocking Katy's work.
